This was march!

Favorite tree!

I really liked this sculpture at the aboritum
For the latter part of spring break, my mom, dad, and I went to Dallas to visit Glen's family. They took us to the Dallas Aboritum and it was so beautiful. I didn't really capture it, but bah there was so much to see! It was overwhelming.
I didn't do anything for the majority of spring break (as in go anywhere other than my home), and I watched Barbara's new puppy a lot. Her name is Caleigh and she likes to eat plants.
My mom got a green award from Texas Tech! They brought in a guest speaker, and he lives on a ranch in NM and tries to be sustainable. He also has goats. I would love to lead that type of life style. It sounded really simple.
It's weird, but we were in DC on the first day of March. Terri and I did a super quick tour of DC, and saw way too many things to absorb. What I most remember is this painting in the Modern Art Museum. It is called the Aero by Marsden Hartley. I wouldn't have noticed it, except that last semester, I took a class on contemporary american literature. As part of the class we studied various artists from the 1930s. Marsden did a painting about native americans, and also one called portrait of a german soldier that I really like. And I really like the name Marsden.
